About the role
Our Singapore R&D lab runs roughly 40 catalyst evaluation campaigns a year. We are looking for a lab technician to join the catalysis bench — handling synthesis, sample prep, and the operation of our micro-reactor and characterisation rigs. This is a hands-on role with the senior chemists; it’s also a strong launchpad into a chemistry or process-engineering career.
Responsibilities
- Carry out catalyst synthesis, calcination, and pelletisation per established protocols.
- Operate micro-reactor rigs for catalyst evaluation campaigns.
- Run routine characterisation (BET, XRD, ICP) and document results.
- Maintain lab inventory, gas supply, and equipment calibration logs.
- Keep the lab safe and tidy.
What we’re looking for
- Diploma or degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a closely related field.
- 1–3 years lab experience; fresh graduates with strong internships will be considered.
- Methodical, careful, comfortable with detailed protocols.
- Willingness to learn — the senior team will train you on the techniques you don’t already know.
Benefits
- Structured development plan with quarterly review.
- Full coverage of one professional certification per year.
- Hands-on exposure to a working industrial catalysis programme.
- Standard EEG benefits package.
