About the role
Plant II in Nakhon Ratchasima has been running on first-generation catalyst for 14 months. We are bringing the second-generation catalyst online this year and need a process engineer embedded at site to own the transition — yield mapping, parameter optimisation, and the day-to-day operations support that comes with it.
This is a hands-on plant role. Expect a hard hat and a laptop in roughly equal measure.
Responsibilities
- Own the process side of the Gen-II catalyst rollout at Plant II.
- Run structured trials across temperature, residence time, and feedstock ratio; document, brief operators, lock in operating windows.
- Investigate yield and quality deviations; partner with R&D in Singapore on root-cause work.
- Support the operations team on shift-level troubleshooting.
- Maintain the operating manuals as the process envelope evolves.
What we’re looking for
- 4–8 years process engineering experience in pyrolysis, FCC, hydrocracking, or a comparable continuous catalytic process.
- Strong fundamentals in reaction engineering and heat-and-mass balance.
- Comfortable on a plant floor, including night shifts during trials.
- Degree in chemical engineering or equivalent.
Benefits
- Site allowance and rotational schedule (4 weeks on / 1 week off available after Year 1).
- Direct partnership with the R&D group in Singapore; quarterly visits to the lab.
- Annual conference travel budget for technical events.
- Health and dental coverage for you and dependents.
