About the role
Our catalyst programme is the single biggest lever on plant economics. We are now into the second generation of our proprietary zeolite-based system and starting work on a third. You will join the senior R&D bench in Singapore and lead a small team taking new formulations from gram-scale synthesis through pilot-plant validation.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of next-generation catalyst formulations for polyolefin and mixed-plastic feedstocks.
- Design and run synthesis, characterisation, and micro-reactor evaluation campaigns.
- Mentor two junior chemists and one lab technician.
- Translate bench results into specifications for the catalyst manufacturing partner.
- Maintain the IP portfolio with our patent counsel; co-author papers where appropriate.
What we’re looking for
- PhD in catalysis, heterogeneous chemistry, or a closely related field.
- 6+ years post-PhD industrial experience, ideally in olefin or aromatic conversion catalysis.
- Track record of taking a catalyst from lab to commercial deployment.
- Comfortable working closely with plant engineers; you should want your work to leave the lab.
Benefits
- Significant share-option grant.
- Conference and publication budget.
- Sabbatical eligibility after four years.
- Generous family-leave policy.
